Fernanda Medina Pantoja

Doctor and Master in Procedural Law at Universidade do Estado do Rio de Janeiro (UERJ). She was a visiting researcher at Cambridge University and Queen Mary University (England), in 2013. Post Graduate degree in Business Law at Fundação Getúlio Vargas – Rio de Janeiro. Graduate degree in Law at UERJ.

Procedural Law professor at Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio).

Fernanda Medina Pantoja was an associate at Wald Advogados Associados from 2003 to 2014, when she became a partner at Escritório de Advocacia Sergio Bermudes (2014-2017). In her professional experience, she handled strategic causes in judicial and arbitral Law, involving complex civil and business Law issues.

OAB-RJ’s Comissão de Mediação vice-president and co-founder and Comissão de Estudos em Processo Civil member. Member of the Instituto Carioca de Direito Processual. Member of the Corpo Editorial da Revista Eletrônica de Direito Processual (UERJ).

Author of the book “Apelação cível: novas perspectivas para um antigo recurso. Um estudo de Direito nacional e comparado” (Juruá, 2010) and articles published in specialized journals and collective works, such as “Breves Comentários ao novo CPC” (RT, 2017); “Comentários ao novo CPC” (Forense, 2017); and “Recursos no CPC/2015: Perspectivas, Críticas e Desafios” (JusPodivm, 2017). Coordinator of the books “Arbitragem e Mediação: temas controvertidos” (Forense, 2014) and “Mediação no novo CPC” (Forense, 2016).
